General Accounting - General Ledger Share Service Analyst

 

Activity: Provide Accounting services to the North America region (NAR team) to record and deliver processes according to SLA guidelines.

 

Location: Mexico City, Mexico

 

 

Mission:

Ensure all activities for the serviced country adhere to predefined SLAs, covering Fixed Assets entries, Bank reconciliations, Manual journal entries, Payroll, and Group/Statutory reporting preparation activities within the agreed schedule.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Fixed assets (Update work papers for acquisition and retire assets, amortization and depreciation entries, process statutory JE depreciation)
  • Bank reconciliations (Prepare JE Cash Report, transfers and adjustment JE, Prepare monthly bank recs, Participate in meetings for follow-up for rec items in operating bank recs, Provide follow-up by GL with AP/NAR)
  • Revision Premium Bank Rec (Review monthly variances for Premium accounts and provide follow-up to reduce rec items)
  • Payroll (Prepare JE for accruals, allocation, benefits, expenses allocation HR & Update work papers)
  •  Update work papers for metrics purposes.
  •  Participate in system updates and improvement projects.
  •  Participate in the creation/update of Accounting Standard Operating Procedures used by the SSC operational teams.
  • Perform General Accounting Month-end and Quarter-end closing activities.
  • Ensure all activities respect Company integrity, security, and reputation by following internal rules and controls in the scope of activity and at the entity level.

Requisitos

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Professional level in Spanish.
  • Good knowledge of General Accounting processes.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Independent worker and team player.
  • Ability to deal with numerous deadlines simultaneously/Multi-tasking.
  • Ability to work on IT systems.
  • Knowledge of the serviced country’s local GAAP and IFRS standards is a plus.
  • Familiarity and ease with varying IT and online software and applications from Oracle.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a General Accounting department.
  • Experience in Share Services and in a multicultural environment is desirable.
  • Experience in the trade credit insurance industry is preferred.
